Türkiye is one of Azerbaijan’s key trade and export partners. The Preferential Trade Agreement currently in force plays an important role in strengthening our bilateral trade relations and creates a favorable institutional basis for the further expansion of mutual trade, said Samad Bashirli, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy, during the 2nd Azerbaijan-Türkiye Investment Forum held in Baku.
“The activities of Turkish companies in Azerbaijan have grown extensively. The current activity of Turkish companies in various sectors is a testament to the confidence in the business environment and long-term interest. Turkish investments in the country, covering sectors such as electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, food industry, construction materials, agriculture, cotton processing, and others, make a significant contribution to creating new jobs and advancing export-oriented production. Products are supplied to the domestic market, as well as exported abroad. Turkish investors are among the most actively participating partners in the restoration and reconstruction of the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions," Deputy Minister Samad Bashirli underlined.
