Azerbaijan extracted 51.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2025

In 2025, Azerbaijan produced 51.5 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas, representing an increase of 1.2 bcm, or 2.4 percent, compared to 2024.

According to the Ministry of Energy, 14.1 bcm of gas was produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) fields, 27.9 bcm from Shah Deniz, 1.6 bcm from the Absheron field, while SOCAR accounted for 7.9 bcm of production.

During the reporting period, natural gas exports totaled 25.2 bcm, remaining at the same level as in 2024. Of the exported volume, 12.8 bcm was supplied to Europe, marking a 0.78 percent decrease year-on-year; 9.6 bcm was delivered to Türkiye, down 3.03 percent, including 5.6 bcm via the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP); 2.3 bcm was exported to Georgia, a 4.17 percent decline; and 0.5 bcm was supplied to Syria.
