Trump's Meeting on Agreement with Iran: No Final Decision Made
It was reported that no final decision was made following U.S. President Donald Trump's meeting with his national security team regarding the draft agreement with Iran, which includes extending the ceasefire and opening the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic.

U.S. President Donald Trump concluded a meeting with his national security team in the White House Situation Room to evaluate the negotiated agreement text with Iran without announcing a clear decision. White House officials reiterated the administration's position that 'Iran must never have nuclear weapons' following the approximately two-hour meeting and emphasized that Trump would only accept an agreement that meets the U.S.'s red lines.

TRUMP'S STATEMENTS BEFORE THE MEETING

Before entering the Situation Room to make the final decision, Trump made a post on his social media account, reiterating that Iran must never have nuclear weapons or bombs, stating, “The Strait of Hormuz must be opened immediately for unrestricted ship traffic in both directions without any transit fees.”

Trump stated that the U.S. naval blockade would be lifted and that ships stranded in the strait could begin their journey home, adding, “The enriched material, sometimes referred to as 'Nuclear Dust,' buried deep in the mountains by our powerful B2 bomber attack 11 months ago, will be unearthed and destroyed by the U.S. in close coordination with Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency.”
