In a statement by Nellis Air Force Base, it was reported that an 'F-16C Fighting Falcon' fighter jet belonging to the 'Thunderbirds' aerobatic team of the US Air Force (USAF) crashed near Trona Airport in the San Bernardino area. The San Bernardino County Fire Department announced that the pilot, who managed to eject from the aircraft before the crash, is being treated at a hospital. The statement noted that the aircraft was participating in a training mission in the Trona area, approximately 300 kilometers north of Los Angeles.
