United Arab Emirates also withdraws from OAPEC membership
It has been reported that the United Arab Emirates has also withdrawn from the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries following its decision to leave the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and OPEC+ memberships.

The Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) issued a written statement regarding the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) withdrawal from membership. The statement said, "The OAPEC General Secretariat was informed about the letter sent by UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei to the organization's Council of Ministers' term president, Libyan Minister of Oil and Gas Khalifa Rajab Abdussadiq, which included the UAE's decision to withdraw from the organization. The decision came into effect on May 1, 2026."
