Trump: We are in a 'mini war' with Iran

US President Trump, speaking at an event held at the White House, evaluated the agenda regarding Iran. Trump claimed that they did the 'right thing' concerning the attacks on Iran, stating that previous presidents should have taken this step, but today he has taken on this duty. Saying that they cannot allow Iran to possess nuclear weapons, Trump used the expressions, “I call the situation we are in a mini war. Things are going very well right now. They have no navy, no air force, no anti-aircraft weapons, no radars, no leaders, they have nothing.”

Trump noted that they have been at war with Iran for about 6 weeks, saying, “The US fought for many years in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, and some other countries, and compared to them, we moved very quickly in Iran. Energy prices in the US will drop rapidly 'as soon as the war ends.' It was worth it to get rid of the madmen with nuclear weapons who could destroy countries with a single button press. That's why I had to do it, because it hadn't been done for 47 years. We have no other choice and I am very proud to do it.”

In another assessment he made to the American press, Trump commented on the increasing tension in the Strait of Hormuz with Iran, saying, “If Iran attacks US ships escorting vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz, Iran will be wiped off the face of the earth.”
