According to a written statement from the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held a phone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. During the discussion, regional developments as well as ways to enhance relations and cooperation between Qatar and Russia were addressed. Al Thani, in his conversation with Lavrov, emphasized the importance of reaching a sustainable agreement to prevent the escalation of tensions, which is crucial for the security and stability of the region, and noted that parties should respond positively to mediation efforts.
