The Russian Ministry of Digital Development announced that temporary restrictions on mobile internet and SMS services will be applied in the capital Moscow on May 9 during the Victory Day celebrations for security reasons.
The Russian Ministry of Digital Development announced information regarding temporary mobile internet restrictions to be implemented in Moscow for security reasons. The statement noted that there are no plans to impose restrictions on mobile internet on May 7-8 in the capital, stating, "Instant restrictions may be imposed in case of emergency security threats. Security measures will be taken for the Victory Day celebrations on May 9. Access to mobile internet in Moscow, including SMS sending services to 'whitelisted' sites, will be temporarily restricted."
