Iranian Army: US Violated Ceasefire by Targeting Iranian Oil Tanker
The Iranian army reported that US forces violated the ceasefire by targeting an Iranian oil tanker heading towards the Strait of Hormuz.

Statements were made by the Spokesperson of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces and the Naval Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps regarding the clashes with US forces around the Strait of Hormuz. In the statement from the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, it was noted that the US violated the agreement, stating, “The aggressive and terrorist US army violated the ceasefire by targeting an Iranian oil tanker moving from the Jask region towards the Strait of Hormuz and also another ship entering the Strait of Hormuz off the coast of the United Arab Emirates' Fujairah Port.”

The statement also mentioned that the US, with the support of some allies, struck civilian settlements, saying, “Simultaneously, with the cooperation of some countries in the region, airstrikes were conducted on civilian areas along the coasts of Bandar Hamir, Sirik, and Qeshm Island. The Iranian Armed Forces immediately retaliated by attacking US military ships located east of the Strait of Hormuz and south of Chabahar Port, inflicting significant damage on them. The US and its supporting countries should know that Iran will respond decisively and powerfully to any attack.”

'US DESTROYERS FLED THE REGION'

In a separate statement by the Naval Forces of the Revolutionary Guard Corps, it was reported that intense retaliation was carried out against US destroyers with missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The statement detailed the operation as follows:

“Following the US army's violation of the ceasefire by attacking one of our tankers near Jask Port and the approach of their destroyers to the Strait of Hormuz, a very intense and accurate mixed operation was conducted against enemy destroyers using anti-ship ballistic and cruise missiles and kamikaze UAVs with high-explosive warheads. Intelligence observations indicate that significant damage was inflicted on American elements and that three enemy ships rapidly fled the Strait of Hormuz region.”
