Trump's Statement on Iran and 'Freedom Project'

U.S. President Donald Trump answered questions from the press regarding current issues as he left the White House. Responding to a question about whether the 'Freedom Project', which he initiated to ensure the passage of commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz and later halted, would be resumed, Trump stated that he does not currently consider returning to the project. Trump noted that they have different options, mentioning that Pakistan requested the project not be carried out, and although it was a good initiative, they are currently evaluating other alternatives.

Trump highlighted that if things do not go as planned, they could return to the Freedom Project, emphasizing that in such a scenario, additional steps could also be taken alongside the project.

Addressing claims that Iran is deliberately slowing down the ongoing process, Trump stated that this situation will become clear soon. Arguing that the negotiation process with Iran is going well, Trump added that they expect feedback from the Tehran administration very soon and that the steps to be taken will be shaped according to this feedback.
