Iran: Strait of Hormuz will remain closed if US does not accept conditions
Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, stated that the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed if Washington does not accept Iran's conditions.

Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, held a meeting with China's Ambassador to Tehran, Zong Peiwu. During the meeting, Rezaei stated that the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed unless the US changes its current stance and meets Tehran's demands. Emphasizing that the US must end its war against Iran and release frozen assets, Rezaei also highlighted the need to end conflicts in the region, particularly in Lebanon and Gaza. Rezaei conveyed that Tehran's other demands have been communicated to the US through mediators.

Rezaei also added that any potential agreement between Iran and Oman regarding the transit route in the Strait of Hormuz should be considered independently of the issue of closing the strait.
