Iran warns countries supporting US sanctions
Iran's Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, stated that neighboring and other countries participating in the US's 'economic pressure campaign' against Iran would be considered 'enemies.'

Iran's Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, warned countries supporting the US economic sanctions and pressure policies against Iran in an interview with state television. Rezaei stated that at the beginning of the process, they would choose the path of dialogue with these countries and request them not to participate in the US's 'economic war.'

Rezaei expressed that if these countries support the US, Iran would target their interests, and if regional actors join the US campaign, they would not allow oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf.

Rezaei also said that the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed until the US fulfills its commitments under the memorandum of understanding signed between Tehran and Washington in June.

US President Donald Trump had stated that an unprecedented scale of economic war and isolation would be applied against any element providing economic support to Iran, describing this step as 'Economic D-Day.'
