Iran reacts to Qatar's denial of 'captive pilot' claims: Allow our investigation team
- The Iranian General Staff reacted to Qatar's denial of statements regarding the capture of 3 Iranian pilots. Brigadier General Mohammed Bakirzade, Commander of the Search Committee, called on the Doha administration to allow an Iranian investigation team to enter the country and conduct field investigations instead of denying the claims.

Brigadier General Mohammed Bakirzade, Commander of the Search Committee of the Iranian General Staff, responded to the Qatari administration, which rejected statements regarding the capture of 3 pilots from the fighter jets that crashed in March. Bakirzade stated that instead of denying the issue and restricting the process, the Qatari government should allow a team of experts from the Iranian Air Force to enter the country and conduct field investigations.

Following the rejection of the claims by Qatari Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Majid al-Ansari, Bakirzade commented that a team of Iranian experts has been waiting for months to enter Qatar and conduct field research. Bakirzade argued that Qatari officials are pursuing 'constant obstruction and stalling tactics to buy time,' and noted that due to these restrictions, the necessary process for the return of Iranian pilots to their country could not be carried out.

'CAPTIVE PILOT' DEBATE

The debate between the two countries began when Iran claimed that 3 pilots who survived from Su-24 fighter jets that crashed during an operation targeting US bases in Qatar in March were captured by Qatari forces. Qatari Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Majid al-Ansari, however, firmly rejected the claims in a statement on his social media account, announcing that only the lifeless body of one pilot was found during search and rescue operations and handed over to Iran.
