Trump's Criticism of South Korea Over Iran: We Spend Billions but Get Nothing in Return
U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his discontent, stating that while billions are spent to protect South Korea, Seoul has rejected military support requests concerning Iran.

U.S. President Donald Trump made remarks regarding military relations with South Korea following a press conference held in the Oval Office. Trump stated that billions of dollars are spent to defend the Seoul administration, noting that a similar situation applies to NATO and Europe.

Referring to his phone conversation with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, Trump said he sought support from Seoul in the process with Iran but received a negative response. Reminding that thousands of U.S. soldiers are stationed in South Korea, Trump expressed disappointment over the lack of support even in an easy military operation.

Highlighting his dialogue with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, Trump stated that there is mutual understanding and respect between the two leaders. Trump argued that during his presidency, North Korea did not pose a serious threat to South Korea, noting that this situation influenced the decision to reduce joint military exercises between the two countries.
